Join us this month.
We head out on the last Sunday of the month as a working party.
Do join us for our session this month. There are smaller paths to be cleared, and possibly meadow work to be done, depending on what’s most urgent.
Work can involve scything, and almost certainly raking – all help will be appreciated.
Meet at Jackdaw Lane at 2.30pm or find us later on site. As usual wear robust shoes or boots, and dress for nettle protection!
We’ll finish with tea and cake.
Time rolls by, and we invite all Eyot users to submit photos throughout the year for our next calendar.
We’re keen to see the Eyot through your lens, throughout the year. Towards the end of the year, our committee selects a range of photos of wildlife, flowers, views and activities – all must be taken on Aston’s Eyot or the Kidneys, though an aerial view from a balloon would be acceptable!
If your photo is on the front cover or a month page you will get a free calendar.
We want photos from all seasons as we try to have photos that are taken in the month they represent. As the images will be reproduced at A4 size, photos need to be at least 2mb in size, so they enlarge without looking fuzzy or pixellated.
Our deadline for submissions is mid-September; please email photos to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
