Please keep to the clearly marked paths on the eyot at all times.
You can access the eyot in two ways:
- from Meadow Lane via the Kidneys and across the narrow footbridge
- from Jackdaw Lane off Iffley Road, past the scrapyard and through the gate
The Friends of Aston’s Eyot maintain paths around the reserve. Come rain or shine, our volunteers try to make sure paths are clear and well maintained. Please stick to these paths. The map below shows these paths.

You can view a larger version of this map.
Much of the eyot is delicate. Deer, badgers and birds – to name a few – enjoy the solace of the eyot and it’s disturbing to have humans crashing through their home. Please keep to the paths that our volunteers maintain for everyone’s enjoyment.
