Working parties

Join us this month on the last Sunday of the month as a working party. We volunteer on the eyot, from scything nettles to laying new paths.

Fancy lending a hand? Come and join in. From clearing small paths, to working in a meadow, to counting badgers, there are always tasks on the eyot. Depending on what’s most urgent, we split into groups and work on the eyot over an afternoon of the last Sunday of every month. All help is appreciated.

We meet at the Jackdaw Lane entrance to the eyot at 2.30pm. Or, you can find us a little later on site. As usual wear robust shoes or boots, and dress for nettle protection!

We’ll finish with tea and cake (always!)
